Scarf Tying Guide 8♥

Slip Knot

Step1
Begin with a folded oblong scarf or a square scarf with a bias band fold.

Step2
Drape around neck so that one end hangs lower than the other.

Step3
Cross long end over the short end and wrap around behind.

Step4
Bring long end across the front of the short end.

Step5
Pull the long end up and through the back of the loop created near your neck.

Step6
Hold the front of the knot loose with your finger and slip the long end through the opening. Pull downward and center knot.

Step7
Adjust to make more taut or loose according to your preference.

Square Knot

Step1
Begin with a bias band folded square scarf, or a narrowly folded oblong scarf.

Step2
Grasp the two ends and drape behind around neck so that one end hangs lower than the other.

Step3
Cross long end over the short end. Bring it up through the loop created.

Step4
Take the same end and wrap around behind short end. Pull long end across and insert horizontally through the knot created, forming a square.

Step5
Grasp both ends and pull back behind neck. Tie a double knot.

Step6
Adjust so that the square knot is centered directly underneath chin.

Stock Tie

Step1
Fold oblong scarf narrowly; or a large square scarf into a bias band fold.

Step2
Follow the instructions for Twice Around Ascot Knot (in Basic Knots section), leaving the left end hanging down.

Step3
Pull the right end up, so that it comes out of the top. This will set up the knot to be straight.

Step4
Now bring the right end straight down in front and wrap it around and through the left end creating a nice square knot with the two ends coming out from the sides.

Step5
The knot should be centered and look square.

Step6
You can either let the ends hang loosely in front or cross them and secure with an eye-catching pin.

Stylish Knot

Step1
Begin with square scarf folded into a straight fold.

Step2
Let the folded scarf dangle around your neck.

Step3
Cross both ends over each other and let one end (A) pass from under the other (B) to form a kind of loop.

Step4
Take A again and let it pass through the knot as illustrated to form the stylish knot.

Tying Head

Step1
Fold the scarf in a triangular shape.

Step2
Hold the ends on the folded side and bring them downwards while getting your head covered with the scarf.

Step3
Crossing each other, bring the two ends in the opposite direction towards the back.

Step4
Tie a knot at the back to get the tying head style.

Undercoat

Step1
Fold the scarf as demonstrated.

Step2
Let it dangle around your neck.

Step3
Let one end pass from under the other.

Step4
Tuck the two ends underneath the undercoat.

Waistsash

Step1
Longitudinally, fold an oblong scarf to desired width.

Step2
Center the scarf on waist at back and bring the two ends forward.

Step3
Tie into a soft bow.

Step4
Leave the bow in the center or shift it to the side.

Andiamo!
